Etsy Nerd Shopping: Cute things made of felt

First up: The House of Mouse. Handmade felt mice in the style of various famous people and characters, including characters from Star Wars and Harry Potter, a Dr Who mouse, Groucho Marx, Wonder Woman, and a zombie mouse.

Second up: Girl Savage.  Cute weird felt plush animals such as a pegapotomus and a jackalope, and home to the art of feltidermy, which is wall mounted felt animal trophy heads.  A concept so random and weird that I just LOVE it!

Who doesn't love free stuff?

PopCap games are currently combining two very addictive things with WarCraft Peggle; and its free! They've also released an add on so you can play Peggle without ever leaving Azeroth.

Are you an up and coming anime artist? Do you write your own doujinshi? Anime Studio 5 is currently available for free download, in the hopes that you'll become so addicted you pay for an upgrade to their latest version!

Free Unix shell access

 Unixlogin

In a great favour to humanity the SDF Public Access Unix System is a project founded in 1987 that provides free shell accounts to a Unix system for use by the public for testing, code compilation or just honing your unix skills.

If you relish the days of university where you could write your own scripts, miss IRC in full 2 colour glory or just want SSH access from work or on the road consider signing up for an account.

For free you can get an acount with a choice of shell and webspace, or for a small donation of $36 you can get lifetime access to extended disc space and many UNIX programs such as IRC, Python, Perl, Ruby or the  C compiler without all the mucking around of setting up your own *ix variant.

For more information telnet "sdf.lonestar.org" and login "New"; after account creation you can access via SSH.
