There may be no such thing as a free lunch, but there is such a thing as a free comic!
Tomorrow Saturday 1st of May 2010 is Free Comic Book Day! The annual event held on the first Saturday of May is designed to spread graphic novel acceptance and find new fans, or get existing comic book fans into a range of different comics. A range of promotional comics and even some back issues are available free on the day, each store can define whether that's 1, 10 or all of them so please be fair to their policy.
It's also a great time to stop by your local comic book shop and support a small business. Comic Book Shops remain one of the few local businesses that thrive on knowing their customers and their taste in collectables. Stop by, pick up a freebie and maybe purchase something in support. My friends will be "doing it like Stark" getting comics, going for a few drinks and then lapping up the superhero wonder of Iron Man 2
